Appointment of New CEO
On 1/6/2022, the Bahrain based Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate announced the appointment of Mr. Imad Abdel Khaleq as the new CEO.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Syndicate’s Technical Committee, Mr. Ashraf Bseiso, stated, “Mr. Abdel Khaleq has vast expertise in insurance and reinsurance industry regionally and internationally. He is no stranger to the Syndicate and has served in the past on the Technical Committee. He was appointed as CEO of the Syndicate after an effective and accurate selection process by the Technical Committee.”
Mr. Bseiso added “The technical Committee is confident of Mr. Abdel Khaleq’s ability to guide further and develop the Syndicate in the current challenging market environment. Personally, and on behalf of the Committee and the Syndicate members, I wish Mr. Abdel Khaleq every success.”
For his part, Mr. Imad Abdel Khaleq welcomed the appointment and extended his thanks to the Technical Committee for their trust and continued support. “I am very happy to be appointed to this position. I am fully confident that we will be able to translate our vision into reality, thanks to the Technical Committee’s directives, and the support of the Syndicate’s management,” said Abdel Khaleq.
Mr. Abdel Khaleq is a well-known seasoned professional in the field of insurance and reinsurance at the Arab and international levels. He has 35 years of experience in the insurance sector and has held key executive positions in insurance and reinsurance companies, including Munich Re and Jordan Insurance Company.
