The Forty-Four General Assembly Meeting Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate

On the occasion of its General Assembly, the Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate (AWRIS) held a reception on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, followed by a gala dinner at the Rotana Downtown Hotel Bahrain.
This event honored all participants from AWRIS member companies from the Kingdom of Bahrain and other Arab countries, In addition to the syndicate’s guests in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
AWRIS conducted its forty-fourth General Assembly meeting on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Rotana Downtown Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Representatives attended the meeting with a total of 6,215 votes out of the Syndicate’s total of 10,000 votes, constituting 62.1% of the total.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Technical Board, Mr. Ashraf Bseisu, with the presence of all members of the Technical Board and the CEO of the Syndicate, Mr. Imad Abdel Khaleq. The attendees discussed the agenda, which included the approval of the balance sheet as of December 31, 2023, among other items, All proposed agenda.
Resolutions and recommendations were unanimously approved by all members. The attendees praised the results achieved and the measures taken by the Syndicate regarding various ongoing issues in the region, ensuring the rights of members and providing the required reinsurance covers. The positive results achieved show an increase in net profit of more than 15% over the previous year.
